Emergency lockout
We answer emergency call-outs in the greater Reykjavík area and surroundings. The emergency line is 894 5858; the locksmith on duty comes to you and opens your car or home if the keys are lost or locked inside.
Our emergency service is open from 09:00 to 24:00 every day of the week. Call 894 5858 and the locksmith on duty will come and open the door, provided you present ID showing that you are the lawful owner of the vehicle or a registered resident of the property.
Our locksmiths use specialised equipment that avoids damaging the locks we open. We bring the full tool kit, and keep additional specialised tools in the van should the job prove difficult.
On request we also open cabinets, safes and other locks on site.
Workshop
We repair door locks and ignition switches for most makes of car, and we can rekey the most common house and car cylinders so a single key fits them all.
We have long experience extracting broken keys from locks. In such cases it is best to call us straight away rather than attempt home remedies, which can damage the cylinder.
We cut keys for many types of roof racks and roof boxes, and for scooters and motorcycles. We also replace batteries in car remotes and carry out minor repairs on them. The inspection fee for a remote is a minimum of 1.500 kr., and that fee is credited towards the repair, even if a repair turns out not to be possible.
We can cut keys for nearly every padlock we sell, and we stock smaller security safes for homes and institutions.

We know the security needs of homes and businesses and advise both on emergency call-outs and at our workshop. We sell cylinders, locks, door closers and other security hardware.
